Mission-Driven Initiatives
AAUW Florida’s Tech Trek, a week-long STEM-focused summer camp for girls going into the 8th grade, promotes STEM education and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for girls from a wide range of backgrounds.
Historically held on university campuses, during COVID the camp was changed to a virtual offering. Regardless of format, Tech Trek is designed to develop interest and excitement about STEM fields as well as self-confidence in young women.
College Scholarships are awarded to women who are advancing their college education beyond an Associate degree or have completed 60 undergraduate credits. Given satisfactory progress toward degree, students receive a second year of funding.

Angel Books are new books collected throughout the year by branch members. The books are donated to local schools for grades K-6.
